▶ Your Answer :
These two charts below illustrate that how Australian household use energy and its greenhouse gas emissions.
According to the first chart, heating is the biggest factor of energy use of Australian household, which is 42 percent of total. Second large amount is 30 percent of water heating. In addition, refrigeration, lighting and other appliances use each 7, 4 and 15 percent of total energy. Finally, cooling is only 2 percent, which is the smallest energy usage of the chart.
There are changes of the list of factors and their size on the second graph. Despite heating is the largest amount of energy use, it makes only 15 percent of greenhouse gas, while water heating does almost same amount, 32 percent. Surprisingly, refreigeration and lighting’s greenhouse gas emissions are double of its energy use. It is also huge jump that appliance is second largest factor, which is 28 percent of total emissions considering it is third important reason of energy use as 15 percent. Lastly, cooling creat the smallest greenhouse gas and the number of it is 3 percent.
