People usually have divided views on the problems of living in a foreign country. Some people think that it is a good experience for people to live in another country. However, I believe that living in another country can cause several problems for patients and children.
To begin with, in the case of patients who live in another country, they cannot explain their serious physical problems when they meet a doctor. This is because the medical terms are different each country, and general people who are not an expert are difficult to acquire professional medical terms in a foreign language. For instance, if people who have serious physical problems cannot explain for a doctor, they may be prescribed the wrong medicine and cause serious illness.
In addition, when it comes to children living abroad, it is difficult for them to learn how to adapt to society. Since they lack knowledge about foreign culture, they cannot deal with their classmates. For example, according to research, on bullying in school by Seoul National University, children who are not native speakers are more likely to suffer from bullying in schools. In fact, this is known as one of the serious social problems in modern society.
To conclude, it is difficult for people, especially patients and children, to live in another country. For these reasons, I agree with people that living in another country where one has to speak a foreign language can cause various social problems.
