▶ Your Answer :
The given chart explains four six different
categories of family in the Australia and the percentage of people in each
types of family who are suffering from economic difficulties in the year of
1999. Average poverty proportion is 11% with 1,837,000 people. By comparing to
the average figure, we can divide 6 family types into 2 types which are upper
standard and lower standard.
In terms of upper standard, we can find
aged couple, single aged person, and couple with no children. Their poverty
rates are 4%, 6%, and 7% respectively. From this result, we can presume that individuals
without children are less likely to face an economic hardship.
With regard to lower standard, the problem
is much bigger. Even though their proportion figure is not that so big at a
first glance, the number is huge. 12% of Couple with children type family are
enduring poverty with 933,000 figure which is larger than the sum of all other
5 categories. The other 2 types of lower standard family are also hold more
than 200 thousand people, respectively.
In conclusion, we can say that a government
aid to couple with children, single person without children, and sole parent
family is especially necessary.
