of Queen Mary Hospital Which is located right below the Main Road, from 1960 to
2000.
In terms of 1960, the hospital only kept a single quarter of the
places below the main road. The other 3 quarters are composed of a shopping
centre which is right next to the hospital, a car park right below the hospital,
and a farmland evenly.
When it comes to 1980, the hospital added another block to its main
building that is pharmacy. Adding to that, a cancer centre and nursing school
was newly constructed. Because of that, a shopping centre was replaced by a
pharmacy block and a nursing school building.
After 1980, there were no new buildings.
Only the proportion of each building and place has changed. In 2000, the
hospital main building and pharmacy block remained the same. However, a cancer
centre was expanded to triple taking nursing schools place. Due to the enlarged
cancer centre, nursing school claimed a half of car park place. Thus,
