As travelling the world becomes popular and cheaper, it is important for countries to be more open to tourists. It might cause problems in the long term, but it would be hard to ignore its initial benefits.
The expand of tourism will benefit local cities. By promoting, small cities can also be known and have many tourists like any other busy cities. Especially local regions have conserved longer traditions than central areas. The development can help them preserve their traditional values as well. Having these strong values makes the city independent, and as a result, more cities in the country will be equally advanced.
Also, increased profits of tourism can be used to develop nearby areas of tourist destinations. In those areas, most facilities and transport systems are old and do not function well because less people visit and use. If the government takes more actions about this, the town will be more modernised, and its residents will be able to live in a better environment.
Moreover, investing in travel industries will increase employment rates. There will be many sub industries in tourism to satisfy many different needs of tourists. During this investment, there can also be more job opportunities. This might be advantageous especially for people who want to be employed in niche occupations because they do not have much chance to get the same job in other industries.
In conclusion, having more tourists will give a country more advantages. This is because it creates more opportunities for both cities and people living there. |
