▶ Your Answer : In current society, most students tend to pursue their study to get a higher degree. However, the problem is that highly qualified students are suffering from unemployment. It is important that we identify the origins of this alarming phenomenon and investigate useful resolutions. From my point of view, the following reasons should be taken into consideration. One of the key reasons is that there are not enough workplaces where want to hire overqualified candidates. It is undeniable that companies want to employ a man who has a better quality than others. The considerable fact is that a higher degree means a higher salary. This surely can be a burden to a company. In addition, it is not always true that Ph.D or master's degree guarantee the quality of candidates. Therefore, employers hesitate to pick a overqualified person when they hire freshmen. Another crucial reason is that there are too many students who have a higher degree today. Competitive companies such as Google or Samsung may recieve tons of CVs from well-educated candidates and they are all graduated with a successful degree. In such situation, doctorate and master's degrees no longer can be a competitiveness. Name value of certain universities can be more important than the level of degree. Abovementiond causes need utmost consideration. As to how to address this issue, the general public set forth diverse proposals. The most significant approach is that the government should make more job opportunities. The origin of this issue is lack of proper workplaces. In addition, strict standards of universities or colleges can be a next solution. These days, we are inundated with highly qualified graduates. It has to be harder when student graduate from education institutes. To sum up, students are the future of the nation. Society should try to provide proper job opportunities to them. In order to do so, the government and education system should take the abovementioned actions. |
