The table shows the information about the underground railway system in six cities along with date opened, kilometres of route, and passengers in per year.
Overall, it seems that the London underground railway is the oldest in the given chart. Furthermore, Tokyo and Paris have the most passengers throughout the year.
Looking at the table more closely, one can see that the London underground train opened in 1863, which is the only railway that opened in the nineteenth century in the chart. Paris and Tokyo have the highest numbers in the chart, 1191 million and 1928 million, respectively. Washington DC, Kyoto, and LA, these three cities own the railway which opens relatively recently and their passenger numbers are also lower than top-three cities in the table. There is a huge gap between Tokyo and Washington DC from 1928 million to 144 million.
It is notable that Kyoto and LA share similar numbers in a kilometre of the route and also in passenger numbers. |
