Your Answer ▼ There is the a over the status of money as the most suitable gift for teenagers. One side might say that giving money as the gift means presenting freedom to teenagers while the other side opposes this way by noting concerns about the limit that money has on teenagers as the best gift. For some parts, giving money as the gift is a wonderful choice. By using the money, teenagers can be ensured the freedom of choice and possibly learn the responsibility followed by the choice they made. For example, even though a teenage boy used up all the money he presented to the gambling, if he learned something through his misbehavior, then the insight can be the gift also. Thus, giving money as the gift can also present the freedom of choice and an insight tied with responsibility. Meanwhile, others might think that there are clear limits on the money as the status of the best gift. First of all, giving the freedom of choice who are not matured is just abandoning the adult’s duty to teach teenagers. Through giving gifts to teenagers, parents can teach something than just careless freedoms. For instance, to teenage girl who needs to develop exercise skills, presenting a bicycle can be the great way of teaching balance and strengthening leg muscles. Secondly, to be called or remembered as the best gift, it should have some story related to the gift. In this regard, meaningless money cannot compete with the first baseball game ticket given to the son with his father. By comparing above noted views, it would be better to conclude that the money cannot be the best gift for its limits. Though it has strong point in giving freedom to teenagers, it is hard to teach some important lessons through money not to mention the lack of romance as the gift which should be meaningful. Thus, it can be an option as a gift but cannot be the best gift for teenagers.
