Every year several languages die out. Some people think that this is not important because life will be easier if there are fewer languages in the world. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
With the world globalisation, some languages that are less popular to be used have been died out. Some individuals claim that less language availability makes life easier. I strongly disagree with this idea and will explain my own reasons in this essay.
To begin with,
The language extinction may bring convenience to our life, however, it may not be as beneficial as people would imagine. As the phrase ‘when in Rome, do as the Romans do’ highlights, individuals are naturally expected to follow the rules and communicate with the language that is spoken in the country. Thus, it is not agreeable that fewer languages will make our life easier.
In conclusion, although the language extinction may bring convenience to our life, I disagree with the idea and personally think that it is extremely important to preserve the language that represents the tradition of a country by stopping the language extinction.
