▶ Your Answer :
The pie graphs given show the proportion of three 3 different age groups in the Yemen and Italy in the year 2000 with expected
figures in 2050.
In general, the graphs show an easily recognizable
trend that a country with a high proportion of young age group in 2000 is
likely to have increasing figures in middle age group. On the contrary, a
country with a large number of middle age group is becoming older causing a
great surge in the old age group. The former is the Yemen, and the latter is the Italy.
To be specific, in 2000, the Yemen’s
population is consisted of 50.1% of young age people, 46.3% of middle age
people with only 3.6% of old age people. In terms of the Italy, the percentage
of young people is only 14.3% which is less than a one-third of the Yemen’s.
Making it matters worse, more than half of Italians are already included in the
middle age group with 24.1% percent of old age holds.
As expectedly, projections in 2050 shows
clear differences. With regard to the Yemen, middle age group will be keeps 57.3%
of total population supported by 37% of young age people while the Italy is becoming
much older than 2000 with 42.3% of old age people.
