▶ Your Answer :
The two charts represent how Australian households use energy and the factors that to emit greenhouse gas, which are categorized into
six parts, as follows: heating, water heating, refrigeration, lighting, cooling
and other appliance.
Heating occupies for the greatest proportion
in the energy use, 42% and the second largest figure is water heating, 30%. In addition,
other appliances records 15%, which is the half of that of water heating. Refrigeration,
lighting and cooling are respectively 7%, 4% and 2% and the total of these three
types is smaller than that of other appliances and almost one-third of that of
heating.
When it comes to the greenhouse gas
emission, water heating is the biggest one, 32%, which is almost equal to its
rate in the energy use. Other appliances hold the second rank and account for
28%. Remarkably, although heating is the largest one in the energy use, it
accounts for only 15% of greenhouse gas emission, which is similar to that of
refrigeration, 14%. Lighting and cooling are respectively 8% and 3%.
