users in UK, separated by intentions, between 2007 and 2009.
Overall, there were a general increase in
use of internet for almost purposes in this chart, such as shopping, banking,
chatting, video game and TV. However, other two sections showed a decrease in
books and learning sections.
The highest increase of the percentage was
in the shopping and banking categories, which saw a increase of about 10%.
Internet user for shopping increased from 41% in 2007 to 55% in 2009. And the
figure for banking went up from 35% in 2007 to 45% in 2009. Other purposes such
as chatting, video games and TV use slightly grew by below 10%.
On the other hand, internet use for books
and learning decreased between 2007 and 2009. In terms of books, it showed a
decline from 37% in 2007 to 30% in 2009, which decreased by 7%. And the figure
of learning reduced from 30% to 25%. Two sections described a small changes
compared to other increased sections. |
