As modern people pursuit contentment on job conditions, choosing new career on the way to achieving professional level in a particular area has been a new trend. However, for both individuals and society, this phenomenon can bring numerous disadvantages for the promising future. In this essay, what makes people decide to quit their occupations and the possible effects of career change on our society will be discussed. Whether the workers intended or not, career change is often happening in our society. Most of reasons are related to feelings of unsatisfaction about some features of the work. It could be working hours,annual income or relationship with co-workers. Some facts can be crucial reasons to quit the job but others can be regarded as common complains for all workers.
If an extreamly outgoing and active person has to sit in front of the computer desk all day, the work could be always boring and sometimes cause physical and mental problems. Actually, it was my experience and it happened right after universitiy graduation. Dut to the misunderstanding of the occupation, I had to change my career after two years. Since I initiated another career according to my aptitute, I could enjoy the work more and get more recognition from the employer.
However, not all career changings are successful and it could be often risky as people can lose their previous job. Also, If the employees take every single complains as a sign of starting new career, it could be harmful for developing personal career and constructing competitive nation. To sustain the society, leaders, specialists and professional workers in wide range of fields are needed. However, if there are only few populations devote their life for a particular job, the number of experts will be decreased and the quality of manpower will be depreciated. Moreover, companies can be the victims of frequent job changing as they invest considerable amount of money and effort to train and educate new employees. If the workers keep moving to another industry or companies before they become beneficial for the team, coporations have to waste their precious budget for useless purpose. To conclude, the young genelations tend to avoid having a hard time but prefer easy and comfortable jobs. It is true that employees meet numerous difficult times and hurdles in their long career period. However, workers have to remember the well-known old saying, 'No pain, no gain'. Thanks to our parents genelations who have endured long period of time to maintain a single career, their children could live in a better environment. There must be acceptable reasons to change careers, however, for the stable and thriving society, individuals in diverse areas should bear the difficulties and become a leader of the future world. |
