First of all, people are able to get updated news and information that are released in every second through the various forms of media. Hence, they can prepare some of future events by getting information about their environment such as the weather, the sea level and the concentration of microdust or yellow dust. Moreover, media plays a role of entertainment. Thus, a number of people enjoy TV shows, dramas and live sports broadcast as a way of refreshing themselves. Lastly, media can contain a variety of advertisements, so that they can raise profits to run their business. Also, advertisers attract many consumers by the effective promotion through the media and consumers can access product information in an easier way. On the other hand, there also exist some demerits of using media. Firstly, they can be manipulated by people from high positions levels such as a president or a powerful politician. As a result, some of developing countries are still filled with rumours and false information produced and modified intentionally. Furthermore, freedom of speech can be ignored when people have a strong belief about certain articles without any criticisms in mass media. Finally, some people often argue that network news centers tend to release more sexual and cruel articles to attract more readers or viewers. This would, however, make people upset or even stressful.
