The chart gives information about reasons
why US consumers shop at K-mart.
It is interesting to note the fact that 25%
of US people shopping at K-mart responded that they shopped because of close
distance. This figure is the biggest portion among males (30%). However, the
majority of female shoppers reported they went shopping to K-mart for good
reputation (27%). This is followed by close distance, parking, and good prices,
accounting for 20%, 19%, and 17%, respectively. Good prices and Parking are reasons
that were roughly of equal importance among both males and females.
On the other hand, as clearly seen from the
chart, most American consumers rarely care about the 24-hour service. It is easily
observed that friendly staffs and other factors are considered more than
24-hour service. They accounted for 7.5% and 10% on average respectively.
By analyzing the data we can conclude that
more than half of Americans shopped at K-mart because of close distance,
parking convenience, and good reputation rather than 24-hour service.
