all sectors have increased. It is noticeable that, all the growth rates reached
at its peak in 1960 to 1970 then it decreased in its growth rates.
In the period of 1820 to 1870, the average
annual growth rates were recorded at less than 1% for population, energy and
GDP. This rate was growing substantially to reach at its peak at 5% for energy
and GDP in 1960 to 1970, whereas the population growth reached at 2% despite
its drop in 1920 to 1940, where it recorded at 1% for all the growths were recorded at 1%.
After 1970, the world average annual energy
growth rates decreased significantly to reach at about 1.5% in 1990 to 2000 before
rising to 2.5% by 2000 to 2010, whereas the world average annual GDP growth
rates plummeted to 3% in 1990 to 2000 before it increased to 3.5% by 2000 to
2010. Meanwhile, the world average population growth decreased substantially
until it reached at 1% in 2000 to 2010.
