▶ Your Answer :
The bar charts below give information on
what kinds of career path UK graduate and postgraduate students chose after
studying, except full-time work, in 2008.
It is apparent that both charts show
similar patterns having the ‘future study’ bar as the highest, followed by ‘part-time
work’, ‘unemployment’ and ‘voluntary work’. Also, according to the charts,
there are approximately 10 times more graduate students than postgraduate
students in the UK in 2008, with the exception of the ones working full-time.
In 2008, in the UK, the majority of
graduates and postgraduates chose to study further, with the figure of 29,665
and 2,725, respectively. Followingly, part-time work was the second popular
choice by the people from both categories, with 17,735 graduates and 2,535
postgraduates. Whereas the figure for ‘further study’ was almost double the one
for ‘part-time work’ for graduates, and the two figures for postgraduates had only
200 differences.

became unemployed after college, taking the 3rd place of the total
on both charts. Only 3,500 graduates and 345 postgraduates chose to volunteer
after graduation. Interestingly, it can be shown that the UK had 10 times more
graduates than postgraduates, except for the people working full-time after
college graduation, considering the sums of the figures on both charts.
