The pie charts give information on expenditures on households in Japan and Malaysia in 2010.
According to the first chart, Japanese people spent the most of their living spending on other goods and services. This figure was 29% of the chart, which was followed by food, housing and transport (24%, 21% and 20%, respectively). Only six percentage of households in Japan used money on health care, which was the lowest expenditure.
It is seen that ,in the other goods and services and food categories, both countries shown comparable figures, but when it comes to transport, housing, and healthcare, some differences were shown. To be specific, in Malaysian household, more 13% of the expenses was used than the Japanese. The figure in Malaysia was 34%. By contrast, in cases of healthcare and transport, the Malaysian used a half money spent by the Japanese(3% and 6%, respectively).
Overall, in both countries the major categories were the similar while the healthcare and transport categories reported different trends.
