These three bar charts compares the percentage of Britain's British consumption of three types of music divided into gender and four sections of age.
Overall, it is clearly seen that British men buy more music albums than women in all the the whole graph. In addition, pop and rock music are popular with the younger ages, whereas in average, classical music albums is purchased most by the age group 45 and above old age.
As is shown by the graphs, of gender, there are similar trends that around 30% male consumers buy pop and rock albums, which is about 10% more than the proportion of female consumers, under 20%. However, the classic albums are bought by only 9% British men and 7% British women, which are approximately half of the other albums.
In terms of the remaining age categories, it can be also seen similar proportions can also be seen in the pop and rock music purchases. To be specific, British people aged from 16 to 44 occupies the percentage of over 80% in these two music types, while only under 10% is bought by 45 and over 45 years old people. By contrast, the rate of classic albums is mostly purchased by British people aged between 25 and 34 and 45 plus, at about 15% and 20% respectively.
