The bar chart below shows the proportion of
profits made from seven different movie genres in US cinemas in 1995, 200, and
2005.
Overall, the percentage of profits from adventure,
comedy, action, and drama is relatively higher than the other three genres in given
three years. In addition, the genres of thriller, musicals and animation record
under 10 percentage of profits in those years.
Looking at the bar chart more closely, in
both adventure, comedy, and animation the profit in 2005 was the largest, on the other hands, that was recorded as the lowest percentage in action, thriller, and
musicals. In drama, the profits in 1995 made the highest result which was near
to 30 percent. In thriller and musicals, profits made in
2000 accounted for the biggest proportion among the other two years, which are
different from the other 5 genres.
