Public health has been one of the predominant issues as a global level since the society became afluent. To tackle this problem, some people argue that we should build more sports ficilities while others assert that there are several other measures to solve this issue more effectively. I will discuss both views and provide my opinion in this essay.
It sounds quite applicable to improve public health by raising the number of sports centers. There is, however, a clear pitfall in this opinion. Many countries, for example, already have sufficient sports facilities such as gyms, swing pools and tracks. Even in the park, you are able to work out. Then we should think about that these facilities, indeed, could resolve the various public health issues such as a lack of stamina of youth, obesity and diabesity that we are concerning about? The answer is obviously 'No'.
On the other hand, some people, including me, assert that to tackle the issue of improvement public health, we can approach with number of measures. Firstly, regulating fatted-food in public places is required. According to the National Health Organization in Korea, most of health issues are cuased by such foods. Since we concer about the disease derived from the over weight, this regulation will effect practically. Secondly, more sportive extra-curriculams are needed both in schools and even in firms. For this, government should take a first step and then well-organized campaign that call for the importance helath issue to the public will be required. In addition, education can be the another method. If the society as a whole try to send a message to the young that habitual exercise allows people to increase their productivity and attractiveness in many ways; study, homework and personal social life as well as good looking.
To conclude, it would be better to build more sports facilities in order to increase public health as much as possible, but I disgree that it is the best way to tackle this issue because there are many other approaches exsting. |
