In a recent years, many governments have concerned regarding people's health since they take/consume a considerable amount of fast food. In order to solve this problem, some governments say that a higher tax should be taken/imposed to reduce fast food consumption. However, others assert that is not an effective way to keep in people's healthcare. I disagree with them because controlling out of their choices of food is not fair.
To begin with, it is not unreadable<(what do you mean by unreadable?) for the government to restrict the consumption of a specific fast food by imposing more tax on people who eat junk food more often. This is because the right of choice about what to eat is entirely on individual's hands. It is a well-known fact that all human beings have has a right to be happy, and eating something tasty is the strongest desire to all those. In addition, unlike dangerous drugs, fast food is not too detrimental to their health as much as that it should be restricted. Therefore, imposing an extra-tax on a certain kind of food is not acceptable in terms of dignity.
Moreover, that is neither the best nor an effective way to eliminate this issue because people would be end up paying for it for their eating desire. Cigarette is an appropriate example. In South Korea, as an aim to cut down the number of smokers, the government has implemented to impose a double tax on tobacco. However, unlike the expectation, that of smokers has not decreased at all, which means that they are willing to spend more money on their desires and the policy would give people a financially burden. Thus, as that is not the right way, the government should find another wise method.
In conclusion, a higher tax seems to be straightforward, but it would rather make the situation worse.
