The government should sometimes infringe on people's freedom for the security of society
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

There has always been an issue of how often the government can intervene in people's lives to maintain the security of society. It is a common belief that the government should sometimes offend citizens' freedom for the safety of society. Nevertheless, I fully disagree with the opinion because the government's interference can cause a privacy issue and it is possible to sustain the secureness of society with only the police force.
To begin with, the intervention of the government can cause a serious problem in folk's privacy. There is no exact standard of what adequate infringement is; thus, some people may feel uneasiness toward the government's limitation. According to a survey, 90 percent of people strongly object to the administration's invasion for any reason. This shows that privacy is a way important than the security of society.
Next, the safety of society can be fully protected by the police force. Without government, only police can keep society secure only if the government entitles them to a strong authority. For instance, Singapore is more secure than Korea. Both countries have the same extent of intervention from the administration. Nevertheless, police in Singapore are given more power than one in Korea. This demonstrates that whether the safety is maintained or not is decided by the police force, not the government.
To sum up, the government should not infringe on citizens' rights due to the issue of privacy and the high likelihood of a solution only with police for the secureness of society. I strongly believe that the less the government tries to intervene, the better it is for citizens.
