In smoking figure, Holland has a top percentage with 60% in 1960 while this trend decreased steadily for 30 years from 60% in 1970 to 20% in 2000. The other countries, Japan and USA, have a continuous decline from 50%, 40% in 1960 to 37%, 27% in 2000 respectively.
In terms of alcohol consumption, USA had an experience of increasing over 20 years from 8 to 10 but it returned to 8 liters again in 2000. Holland increased drastically starting at 4 liters in 1960 to 11 liters in 1980. After peaking, it remained at about 10 for 20 years. Turkey had rarely changed at 2 liters from 1960 to 2000.
