▶ Your Answer :
There are mixed opinions on the view that visual media is better for acquiring knowledge than books. In this modern society, it can be easily seen that people who want to accumulate knowledge often watch videos, films, and TV through the Internet, whereas the majority of people still use books to study and teach.
On the one hand, books are generally made of letters, images and figures, which are very efficient and easy mediums to describe and explain knowledge. In almost all cases, explanations with appropriate images and figures are enough to help readers understand the knowledge. The fact that books are the most popular tools to gain knowledge all over the world proves that books are still valuable.
On the other hand, videos, films and TV are being regarded as more interesting mediums than books, because they are able to show various moving images that contain information and they can appeal to the audio and visul sesnes of the viewers. Through watching videos, the viewers can develop interest and understand more easily than just reading books. For example, when a science teacher in a school explains a procedure of experiment in a laboratory, showing a related video would be much more efficient than using science books since students are able to understand it at a glance.
All things considered, even though visual media can be an efficient and interesting mediums for delivering knowledge in some cases, I believe that books are indispensible because of their convenience and information. Ultimately, there is no doubt that books are enough valuable. | |
This answer addresses both questions with a clear opinion. There is a general progression to the argument, but, with a limited vocabulary and grammar structures. There is also some repetition, however. There are quite a lot of mistakes in word form, word choice or spelling.
For those reasons, I believe this essay will be achieved a band 5.5 score.
