The presented bar graph illustrate how many Australian males and females did regular physical activity in the percentage scale in the year 2010. It is clear that close to half of Australian adults did some kind of routine physical activity for the survey period. In general, middle aged females were the most physically active, while males aged 35 to 44 did the least physical activity. When it comes to the youngest age category (15 to 24), almost 53 per cent men but only 47.7 per cent of women did regular physical activity. However, between the ages of 25 and 44, men significantly drop at nearly 50 per cent, compared slightly increased the figure of women at 48.9 per cent. Moreover, in the 35 to 44 age group, there are the biggest proportions difference between men and women at nearly 40 per cent and 53 per cent respectively. In terms of Australian adults aged from 45 to 64, the figure for physical activity of the men slightly rose to about 45 per cent, whereas that of the women remained around 8 per cent higher, at 53 per cent. Finally, in the age group for 65 and over, the males who regularly exercised were as almost same with the females at approximately 47 per cent. |
