number of Canadians worked in finance, professional services, and construction
was seen an upward trend, whereas that of manufacturing and agriculture experienced
a decline over the period.
In 1999, the number of Canadian workers was
below 1,000 thousand in all sections apart from manufacturing. That of people
who work in the manufacturing field accounted for close to 22, 0000 thousand.
In 2015, finance, professional services,
and construction showed a similar pattern, and the number of Canadian workers in
those areas increased by roughly 500 thousand. Furthermore, the figure reached
over 1,000 thousand. It is noteworthy that the figure of construction was
doubled. In contrast, people who were hired in manufacturing was exhibited a
downward trend by reaching at 17,000 thousand. Finally, the number of workers
in agriculture underwent a slight decrease by 100 thousand. |
