It is a common belief that doing
assignments plays a significant part in the learning process. Therefore, some
people believe that it should be mandatory to do homework. Nonetheless, I
strongly support that it is hard to say that doing homework is beneficial
because students can lean more while participating in extracurricular
activities.
On the one hand, doing homework allows
students to understand the materials well. Learners need to establish the
principles first when learning new thing; then, they can apply the theories
when solving problems. According to recent research in South Korea, high school
students who barely miss the assignments during the educational process not
only graduated with good grades but also advanced to prestigious colleges.
Consequently, a number of educational experts assert that assignments help
learners to review lessons, enhances long-term memories and comprehension.
On the other hand, there are a wide variety
of options which students can choose to explore the world rather than solely
covering class materials. These days, students spend much time on exercising,
travelling, or playing a musical instrument. In fact, universities with high
reputation in the United States prefer to accept applicants who took part in
various types of activities such as volunteer works in underprivileged
countries. Those who have the not ordinary experiences are more likely to
possess broader understands over world compared to the students have does not.
Therefore, the time spent on extracurricular activities is worthwhile.
n conclusion, it is evident that it helps
to finish projects to keep up with class materials. Nevertheless, I firmly
believe that in-depth understanding over the world could be achieved by having
a number of experiences rather than solving math questions. Thus, it is
crucial to invest a significant amount of time visiting new places or physical
activities besides going over only projects. |
