The bar graph indicates the figure of revenues in US film industry in 1995, 2000, and 2005 divided into seven different genres in US cinemas. Overall, the proportion of adventure, comedy, action and drama genres was seen popular trends. On the other hand, there were low trend in the figure of thriller, musicals, and animation genres.
As can be seen in the graph, in 1995, the highest revenue portion was drama, reaching almost 30 percentage. The figure of comedy profit was close behind drama, made up the second popular genre. Since then, however, the proportion of drama profit consistently dropped to 15% in 2005, which had roughly halved compared to 1995. On the other hand, an upward trend was seen in the proportion of comedy revenue. Eventually, this figure took the highest proportion in 2000 and 2005, exceeding the figure of drama profit. On the one hand, among the most unpopular genres, the portion of animation was only seen an upward revenue trend. |
