Obesity has become one of the most urgent issues that several developed countries are facing today. Since it can cause negative impacts on society such as rising health care costs, schools should make some policies to deal with the issue.
To begin with, there are several reasons for this phenomenon (문단에 처음 등장하는 대상을 대명사로 써서는 안 됩니다.). First of all, working parents, which are the normal type of family nowadays, can not spend much time with their children to teach the importance of healthy food and exercising. In the past, parents used to play a role to serve healthy homemade meals to their children, but now there is no time to do such roles (role 과 do 는 같이 쓰이지 않습니다. sjsj님 정도 실력이면 지금보다 더 나은 표현을 찾을 수 있을 거에요.). Not only that, academic achievements are put first to healthiness, resulting in detrimental impacts such as high children obesity rates. (<---이 문장 관해서 한 줄 정도만 부연설명을 넣어주세요.)
To address this issue, schools should establish special education programs such as nutrition education and extracurricular exercising activities. In fact, nutrition education should be a compulsory subject in elementary school because it is the most effective way to teach how to avoid being obese. For example, children are easily motivated to eat vegetables when their friends eat them well, so receiving this education with their classmates will be very effective. Furthermore, to make time for children to work out, extracurricular exercising activities are needed. By taking part in those activities served by school, students can exercise safely and effectively.
In conclusion, many health experts have been concerned the rising rate of children obesity these days. Although it is a complicated problem mixed with the change of family type and pursuing better educational performances, it can be resolved by schools’ efforts by offering nutrition education and exercising activities.
