Opinions are divided on whether changes in people's relationship changes initiated by technological advances in communications are positive or not. This essay illustrates(긍정/부정 입장 비교해주시기 이전에 어떤 방식으로 사람들이 관계를 형성하는 방법이 바뀌게 되었는지를 먼저 보여주시겠다고 언급해주셔야 문제에 대한 정확한 답변이 됩니다.) both sides of view and presents my own opinion about this phenomenon.
On the one hand, people argue that technological advances significantly positively affect significantly positively communication between people. The Internet has proliferated communication technology, which has affected so many ways in humankind. Nowadays, people could communicate with the opposite side of the globe with a few clicks of computers or smartphones. As a result, people could make friends conveniently through the Internet and could have a variety of relationships whereas which is it could not be possible 100-years ago. Recently surveys show that 90% of people agree with that the world is better(어떤 면에서 better 이라고 답했다는 것인지를 보여주시는 것이 이 survey를 활용해서 설명을 써주시는 것의 핵심일 듯 합니다.) with the Internet while only about 10% of people disagree with it. On the other hand, some people insist that advanced communications affect negatively peoples' relationships negatively. The key idea of this is that numerous side effects could have been observed easily in our society related to the Internet and smartphones. For example, drugs, hardly buy bought in offline, are conveniently available through the SNS channels such as Telegram, Discord, and other smartphone applications. Also, numerous studies carry that the amount of family time is considerably reduced at 90% compared to smartphones (비교 대상이 불명확합니다. 스마트폰을 하는 '시간'을 의미하는 걸까요?) that did not exist before. For these reasons, people argue that communication technologies harm peoples' relationships nowadays.
In conclusion, both positive impacts and negative impacts exist in communications with technical developments. In my opinion, I tend to support that positive impacts outweigh negative impacts because the Internet has given more possibilities of communications to others than the past.
