Italy and Hungary won 8 gold medals in each country, and Australia took 7 gold medals, being ranked at 10th. Its total numbers were five times as much as the number of gold prizes.
Overall, the ranking of gold was not proportionate to total numbers. The only country over 100 medals in total was America.
