▶ Your Answer :
It seems to be inevitable that human requires to find more amount of energy resources such as oil and gas than its present level to meet its ever-increasing demands for resources. Such exploration towards natural resource makes human's life abundant, while it is also unavoidable to degrade our environment and natural habitate. In this essay, I will discuss both advantages and disadvantages offered by locating new sources in remote area.
To begin with, finding natural resources in area where have not been discovered may bring economical development around those places. As many construction plans commence, there will be opportunities for building new businesses, which creates a number of employment available for people. For example, most workers and their family have to find basic necessities such as home and school to settle in those areas, which is largely beneficial to develop such places. In addition, searching new places could also alleviate the burden on existing energy sources, since we are heavily dependent on fossil fuels.
On the other hand, there is an argument that exploration to natural places will have negative impact on our environment. Since these processes take place in natural places that are intact from human being, it is necessary to damage those place. On top of this, it does not only degrade our natural forest, but also leave people relying on only fossil fuel. This means no longer development of renewable energy such as solar and wind power. Consequently, people merely consume all the energy we have without finding alternatives.
In summary, there seems to be equal number of pros and cons for locating new places. Therefore, I assert that the best way of locating new places would be allowing developments with minimizing impact on environment.
