n the globalized society, learning a foreign language has been believed as a major factor for children education. Some professionals insist that to starting to learn a foreign language at the period of primary school gives a positive impact on children education. This essay will discuss about whether the learning a foreign language at an early age as possible is positive or not.
First of all, the younger have a highly activated brain level than teenagers, which can easily adopt new things without any bias and confusion. This is because they do not have enough excessive knowledge and abundant experience than the teens. Thus, to learning a foreign language is much more easy to accept lingual skills. In addition, they can improve their academic score. For example, for those who acquire language skill at a young age, the language class seems quite easy to understand than those who start to study just now. As a result, this phenomenon can encourage the children to get high score and in turn it enhances their satisfaction because of satisfied results.
On the other hand, even though these beneficial effect, there are still a few tricky problems on this issues. First, an early education can cause the younger to have a difficulty to understand their culture fully. For instance, the children who are almost same age with primary school age do not sufficiently build their recognition of the culture due to the lack of experience. In this stage, if they acquire another language which contains one culture, they can have a hard time to adopt and distinguish these two culture. Furthermore, in the school, if they have a mistake on language-related exam, it makes them more stressful than those who begin at late age.
To sum up, in an era of globalization, some experts have announced that learning a foreign language at primary school puts a huge impact on children’s academic ability. However, despite this argument, conspicuous problems for this issue still remain.
