▶ Your Answer :
In this technological age, it is obvious that
the computer and the Internet have played significant roles in children’s
education, while some people maintain that studying with teachers is far more
effective way to teach children than learning with I-pads or laptops resulted
by technological breakthroughs. I believe that despite the advantages of technological
aids as educational tools, children should be educated by teachers. I am to
discuss both views and my opinion in this essay.
Admittedly, the computer and the Internet have been regarded as
necessary means to encourage students to study. This is because today children
are more likely to be exposed to technological gadgets that convey information
with visual aids containing vivid colours. With this trend, educational
programs by the latest technologies would be effective to attract youngsters’ attention,
which can help enhance their academic achievement.
On the
other hand, it is traditionally believed that teachers are the best educational
guides by disciplining and inspiring students in classrooms. Teaching professionals
have their own unique roles and functions on learning process, which cannot be substituted
with the computer and the Internet. To illustrate, students can be educated by
not only acquiring knowledge but also interacting with educators and peer groups.
Through communication between teachers and young learners, instructors can acknowledge
what kinds of strengths and weaknesses on learning students have and how
effective they can be motivated to accomplish academic goals. Hence, learning sessions
performed by teachers are the most effective way to train youngsters.
In conclusion, although updated technologies for education can encourage
students to concentrate on study, I firmly believe that children should be
educated by teachers with active interaction between educators and students.
