In some countries, owners of houses can renovate their house in their own way. Some people believe that it can lead to a better result if house owners participate more in house building. Others think that deciding how to create their own place should be done by a government. In reality, controlling a new private property by oneself cannot be better.
If rules are vague when a house is newly built, there will be more chances that neighbours may complain. Sometimes setting a boundary of a property is hard because the land under the house is not perfectly square shaped. The owner of a house might insist that their place can be larger than what their neighbours say. This can be problematic when construction begins as no one can tell where the exact line that separates the two houses adjacent is.
Moreover, some people might buy a park and include it in their house or office. They might want to live more healthily by having a green park in front of their building. Then other residents may not be able to go for a run to the park or enjoy the beauty of nature. This can happen if the government put the right of individuals first before that of public. It will be a loss for other people sharing the same areas.
Also, modifying a house however one likes can mean that people can apply different facades more often. However, their city is someone’s hometown as well. In some countries, the government bans redesigning houses to preserve a history and tradition of a town. Old residents might not like to see sudden changes in their hometown. Thus, agreement made by more people might help when having new buildings in some regions.
In conclusion, there are not many regulations for using new designs for private houses or offices. Despite the fact that individuals can have more freedom when they build something they want, it can invade the same rights of other people. |
