This chart presents the proportion of profits made from the seven movie genres
in 1995, 2000, and 2005 relatively.
Overall, it is clear that most profit was made from drama in 1995 and comedy in 2005.
Whereas, musicals and animation showed the lowest proporttion of profits.
To begin with, it is evident that drama made the highest profits of about 28% in 1995
but then dropped dramatically in the order of 15% in 2005. Comedy, which had made
second highest profits of 20% in 1995 showed a opposite trend compare to drama as
it significantly increased until about 27% in 2005.
Furthermore, it is clearly seen that there are unpopular genres such as musicals and animation
which had made the lowest profits compare to other genres. However, the proportion of profits made
from animation gradually increased about 3% in between 1995 and 2005. Whereas, the profits of musical
was increased significantly and peaked at 9% in 2000 but then considerably dropped and levelled of at
3% in 2005.
