Nowadays people mostly purchase goods, they feel to needs, at stores. About this consumption behaviors of consumer, some people argue that the high merchandising of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising strategy, while others claim that it reflect the real needs of the society in which they are sold. This essay will discuss the reason why I agree that the high sales of commodities reflect the power of advertising such as marketing.
First, the advertising of the enterprises stimulate purchasing desire of consumer. In the satisfying environment, people basically know just what they want, not needs. In other words, consumer do not recognize their “needs”, the basic part of “wants”. For example, if people feel lose, they want to buy movie tickets to feel funny. The enterprises concentrate on this “needs”(funny), not “wants”(the movie tickets). This is a comic-book company. This company can appeal to consumer’s lose to sale their comic-book with this message, “The comic-books are more fun than the movies.” The comic-book company stimulates purchasing comic-books desire of consumer. Therefore, the sales of consumer goods are a result of advertisement.
Second, advertisement affect to consumer’s mind. If people daily see A product, they would feel familiar to A product. There is no doubt, consumer usually buy familiar goods. Actually, consumer do not mind seriously about commodities, they daily buy such as pensils, plastic tapes and so on. But consumer prefer to buy familiar goods than not one. Thus the sales of consumer goods are affected by the influencing power of company to their consumer.
To sum it all up, I agree with that the high sales of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising because the enterprises stimulate consumer needs and they also have the influencing power to their consumer. The more strong power of advertising make more high sales of popular consumer goods. (309자) |
