A ‘curfew’ is implementing in some regions in America nowadays. Regarding this, some assert that it is a necessary policy for young children to keep them safe, while some argue that it definitely invades their right of freedom. Personally, I completely agree with the former opinion due to several factors.
It is an obvious fact that a large proportion of crimes take place at night. This is because only few people walk along a street at night. A majority of people who get tired during daytime stay at home, and recharge their energy for next day. If a teen hangs out by oneself without any guidance, he can be easily a target from criminals. In Korea’s case, there are various cases that young child got robbed from adults or another teens at night. Therefore, having a curfew system, accompanied by an adult at night, could be beneficial for not only young adults but reducing the rate of crimes in this contemporary society. The curfew policy also has impacts over the percentage of juvenile delinquency. This can decrease the rate of that. As might be known, there are youthful mistakes at teems. If young adults get along at night, Would it be a high chance to be exposed crimes such as drugs or sexual matters in a street. Few days ago, when I walked with my husband at downtown, one stranger followed us, and surprisingly tried offering free drug. It is obvious if teens had been in the exactly same situation, it would have been much easily tempted without deep considerations. Thus, teens should be protected based upon the curfew system. In conclusion, the curfew system can dedicate to reduce the rate of crimes not only for among adults but also juvenile delinquency. |
