With the development of society, the news media that are able to
communicate with people have been also developed, and affected people’s life.
Some people believe that this situation has various drawbacks, and I strongly
agree with this perspective.
It is true that the news media have played the most important role in society,
they finally have been trying to control both governments and the public. To
specify, alongside the influence of each medium, they have produced some false
news to control the government. Many governments have been struggling with that
fake information that was transmitted from news media, this has been the crisis
of societies. Moreover, the public also tends to believe all kinds of news from
their trustworthy media such as television, radio, newspaper or the Internet;
thus, people have blamed on the behavior of their government without any
certain evidence, or they have misinterpreted some serious social issues.
The news media also have had adverse effects on people’s daily life. It
cannot be denied that convenient media have become an indispensable gadget to
people, and people have got many kinds of information. Because of this, more
and more people have been addicted to the news media, they are often more
likely to watch those kinds of media all the time by reason of getting
fundamental news that they need. Individuals have wasted their daily time, and
they have lost track of their routine, being obsessed with those media. For
example, some commuters have missed their commute bus, and many housewives have
just read the Internet new section, not considering house chores.
In conclusion, with the influence of the new media, societies and the
public are dealing with various kinds of negative impacts, so I think that this
is not a positive development. |
