There are conflicting views on the issue of having part-time jobs useful for college students. Some people argue that it is good for college students to have part time jobs. Others, however, insist that it is not good for college students. I believe that it is not useful to students.
On one side of the arguments, people maintain that having part-time jobs good for college students. The main reason for believing this is that students are able to earn money which spend for their life cost. For example, my friends used to had part-time jobs for their dormitory fee and food expense. Another reason for holding this view is the belief that they can learn about social communication which is require in their work life. Learning social communication is essential in society.
On the other hand, there is an argument, which I mainly agree with, that it is not good for college students. Advocates of this view argue that college students are unable to multitasking between studying and working. For instance, some students usually take time off from the school for making a time. Another argument in favor of have part-time jobs is that studying is more useful than working in the part-time jobs. This is because part-time jobs are unable to earn a lot of money which can keep their life.
To sum up, there are clearly strong arguments on both sides of this issue; however, having looked at both sides of this issue. I believe that the balance of evidence is in favor of studying is better than having part-time jobs when they are students. |
