Today it is true that cultural traditions are used as a source of profitable business and people have different views about this situation. I believe that it is more advantageous for people us to use the traditions to earn money in the tourism industry. In this essay, I will discuss both points (앞선 문장에서 이 both views 가 무엇인지를 명시해주셔야 합니다. 현재로써는 그저 의견이 대비된다라고만 작성되어있을 뿐이죠.) of view and give my opinion on the matter.
Some people believe that if cultural traditions are used as a way of making money, they can be changed into something totally different from the original form. Suppose that (기존 표현은 구어에 가깝습니다.) If the children and foreigners experience the tradition which have transformed into the shape of money-making machines. They would only see and remember the distorted form and this makes people understand distorted (문장 내에 동일한 단어가 있으므로 가능하면 대체해주시는 게 좋습니다.) meaning or role of the customs.
While I agree with this idea, I would like to argue that we can see the positive effects of this situation. I believe that if the traditional festivals, food, and clothes go through significant changes and become more commercial and up-to-date style, these can attract more young people as well as foreigners. In most parts of the world, the traditions and customs have been disappeared and they are in danger of only being written down on documents. I think this phenomenon is getting worse because of the changing lifestyle of young people who lead the world's trend. Presumably, catching these young people is the best way to prevent the extinction of traditional cultures. For example, Hanbok, which is a traditional dress of Korea, became more popular after it became (여기도 윗 문단과 마찬가지로 동일 표현이 있으므로 대체해주시는 게 좋아요.) more fancy and colorful than the original form. Not only that, but a demand for the new Hanbok also increased at both the domestic and international market.
To sum up, while it is apparent that making traditions a source of making money could harm the original form, it is undeniable that such changing can help the tradition to be passed to the next generations.
