Nowadays, some states have the more number
of young people than that of old ones. In this essay, I will discuss why the
merits of this situation prevail over the demerits of it.
Many experts maintain that a more number of
young adults, compared with the number of the old in some states, would be beneficial
from the domestic economy perspective. Above all, the companies in the
countries would do not need/have to worry about the lack of labor forces, after many of the old
retire from workplaces because of their bad health conditions. This is because
the they would be replaced by young adults quickly. In addition, the more young
people work, the more the amount of pension would increase in the future.
Therefore, a large number of the young would play an important role in
improving the economical circumstance of the countries in the long term
perspective.
On the other hand, enumerous people point
out that the overpopulation of the young in some countries would have negative
effects on society because the social trend regarding technology would quickly
change to meet the need of only the youth. It is expected that old people could
not follow the speed of the development of technology because they are not used
to using cutting edge devices. For example, the elderly would give up to order
some products only sold in online shops, even though they really want them.
Besides, the technology for the elderly would be slowly developed than that for the
youth, since the need of the eldery would not be prioritized.
In conclusion, although I think that both
views are somewhat reasonable, I believe that the advantages of a relatively large
number of the young would far outweigh drawbacks. This is because many problems
concerning technology among the old would also be coped with by younger
generations who pay attention to older generations. |
