These maps illustrate how one city called
for Youngsville changed during 25 years from 1980.
In 1980, the town was far greener than
2005, which had more trees, but the town had experienced dramatic changes
during 25 years. The most noticeable change is the southern-west side. All of
the trees on the southern side of the river were cut down and it replaced to
factories, warehouses and skyscrapers, even thougth the school, airport and
parking lot still remained until 2005.
The north of the river more and less
changed as well. First of all, few trees are survived as well as the southern
side of the river, the golf club came out instead of the forest. In 1980, in
the lake, there were available for swimming and fishing, but, in 2005, rowing
became additionally available. Further developments were the construction of
stadium in northern east side with parking lot. Originally, that location was
residential area, but it has developed as a sport complex and railway is
connected across the river.
