The
pie charts show proportions of annual expenditure in a particular UK school in
1981, 1991 and 2001. Teachers’ salaries are the most dominant expenditure throughout all
of the period, with the percentage hovering around 45%. In 1981, the
expenditure on educational resources and furniture & equipment was equal at
15%. After slightly increasing, resources plummeted from 20% in 1991 to 9% in
2001. In contrast, following considerable dip, furniture and equipment
skyrocketed from 5% in 1991 to 23% in 2001. From 28%, in 1981, workers’
salaries except for teachers’ slipped gradually to 15% in 2001, whereas
expenditure on insurance experienced a modest growth with it moving from 2% to
8% in the period. Overall, It can be clearly seen that the school had spent annually
most of money on educationalists’ salaries, while insurance had taken up the least
percentage in spite of the rising trend. However, Other workers’ salaries with the
descending trend accounted for significant proportions. |
