It is a common belief that people have to focus on a single skill to get an economical success. However, I firmly believe that having various skills in one's life is more advantageous because it can make more profits, moreover it helps to keep up with modern society.
To begin with, cultivating more that one skill can be beneficial. Due to the fact that more one has diverse skills, it is more likely to get involved in many jobs, proven that the person has a wide range of knowledge. The majority of employers want employees who have lots of skills; such as a variety of computer skills and communication skills. That means a person with various skill can fit in many situations, compacted with many valuable competences. It can lead to a more successful vocational result, which means one can be financially stable. For example, one of the studies has shown the employment rate with the entry-level works categorized into two groups, single-majored and double-majored. It illustrates that people who had a bachelor's degree in double-majored had a higher rate of employment.
On top of that, trying to learn various new skills can help to adapt to modern society. There is no doubt that we are living in an extremely fast-changing world. Concerned with the society, it is more suitable to have workers with more than one skill, which can help to adapt to new environments. For instance, many successful CEOs admitted that the key to the big success with their company was reading the new trend in society and being a chameleon, they change themselves to fit in a new modern world. By ignoring the changing world and focus on just one skill cannot be the ideal candidates for many fields of work industry.
