▶ Your Answer :
In contemporary society, income increased as the economy increased. However, at the same time, people started to spend more than before. Some argue that this abused consuming may cause serious economic crisis. Nonetheless, in my opinion, this trend of consuming will lead positive effects than negative consequences.
On the one hand, some experts are concerning about expanded consuming because it can cause economic crisis not only individually but also nationally. For example, people tend to use "credit card" to buy goods. However, since this credit card allows people to buy things more than they afford, in many times people fall in debt which cannot escape from. As a result, many consumers get bankrupted and it leads massive collapse of the national economy. This is one of the disadvantages of increased consuming.
Nonetheless, to increase and strengthen economy, consuming needs to be increased. This is because the economy is basically based on increasing consuming. For instance, when people buy something, the money paid for it flows into company and is distributed to people consequently. This means that economical scale grows with consuming goods. Therefore, it can be said that increased consuming has a positive consequence because it makes the economy grow bigger.
To sum up, it is evident that increased consuming has negative effects such as causing economical debt. However, in the view of economical growth, this tendency of consuming surely leads a positive consequence since this makes overall economic system stronger and bigger as long as people take care of their balance between earning and spending. |
