People have divided views over placing time
limitation on workers. On the one hand, executives and officials in company
might point out that it can discourage the profit and the customer satisfaction.
On the other hand, it can guarantee work and life balance and protect staffers
from overworking. Personally, I believe that advantages of restrictions on work
time outweigh disadvantages.
One of the main problems regarding this matter
is the likelihood of affecting the output negatively. In general, people can
easily jump into the conclusion that running the company for a long time is proportionate
to raising profits. However, a recent experiment in Microsoft in Japan displays
that taking every Friday off from the workers brings 40 percent additional/increase in 등 '증가' 를 나타낼 수 있는 표현을 넣어주세요~ productivities to
a division. In addition, electricity cost dwindled by about 23 percent. In
Korea, a few companies seem to begin to implement a policy of limiting timetable
after witnessing a huge spike in productivities in other conglomerates. Employees
who are entitled to enjoying balance of work and life disproved the negative preconception
of the possibility which many critics worried.
Another counter argument is that shortening
working time would be a hindrance to customers service. Meanwhile, critics often
overlook the fact that the quality of client service relies on staffers’
ability and willingness to deal with the complains. (Therefore, firms should
take a responsibility to improve its service by offering workers a supportive environment
where people can work within a well-balanced schedule. Instead of adding more time
on the schedule, corporations can devise alternative ways such as dividing shift or
hiring more people.) 파란 괄호의 부분 관련해서는 총평에서 말씀드리겠습니다. Incidentally, it can be a great remedy for workers who suffer
severe pain for overwork.
To conclude, we cannot discount the possible
drawbacks from restricting on-duty hours like negative turnover and low costumer
service. Meanwhile, it is apparent that regulation of limiting working time directly
relates to the profit by providing workers with a well-structured schedule and keeps
theavy workload at bay. |
