Nowadays, some people
assert that youngsters do not punished severely as much as adults even though
they commit crimes as criminals do because they are young. However, I firmly
believe that every person who commits crimes has to receive punishment
regardless of the age.
To begin
with, if youthful people can avoid suffering from punishment with the reason
they are still at growing ages, they would have more chances to be criminals
when they become adults. It means that the young people who do illegal things cannot
realize how serious action they do. For instance, in Korea, the number of detrimental
crimes such as bullying and even sexual violence by youngsters is increasing. A
few weeks ago, there was unbelievable news about a five-year-old male student
who gave sexual violence to one of classmates. When it this situation, the majority
of people insist that even if he is young, he has to be punished unless he will
do same behavior when he is grown up.
On top of that, the
number of crimes among students at schools would be rising as well as they
would think that the crime which they are committing, is not serious and it is
like their hobby. To be more specific youngsters at schools tend to bother peers
since they feel bored. One of the most obvious examples of this phenomenon is
that people can easily see the situation that young people steal other students’
items as well as bother other peers both physically and mentally. This shows
that punishment should be essential to youthful people.
In conclusion, punishment
is necessary to people who commit illegal acts whether they are young or not. If
not, they do not realize how serious what they do and it would lead to the result
that they might be real criminals in the future. |
