Environmental change is one of the urgent issues facing the world is facing today. In fact, this change has negative effects on the whole lives on the Earth. Therefore, collective actions from every countries and individuals are needed to solve this problem.
The main cause of environmental change is excessive development to meet the humans needs. In this commercialized society, people need more land and natural sources to make money. More and more new lands are required to build factories and buildings, contributing to the destruction of the destroying the environment. For example, more than 30% of the Amazon forest, which had played an important role to protect the environment and purify the air, was destroyed to build factories. Also, fossil fuels, which severely contaminate the environment, are widely used without any consideration about the environment.
To address this issue, collective actions from governments and individuals are needed. First of all, each government should establish strict regulations to restrict excessive development in their country. For example, in Vietnam, the government set a law to limit destruction of forest for development, which results resulted in increasing figures for air purification. Not only that, international organizations such as the UN should make a convention to protect the environment and recommend countries to join it. Since environmental change is a global issue, it needs collective actions from the whole world. Also, individuals need to save resources by using tumblers instead of paper cups.
To sum up, environmental change caused by excessive development for humans is an urgent matter. Nevertheless, it can be solved through collective efforts from each countries and the entire world.
